These warranty terms are independent of the original manufacturer. Shopwice provides the terms under this warranty without respect to the terms laid out by the manufacturer.

This warranty covers the repair of your WestPoint, Mitsui, and Westpool air conditioner bought on Shopwice if it is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within the warranty period.

The (Westpoint, Westpool, and Mitsui) split inverter, split non-inverter, standing floor, portable, cassette & window air conditioner has a 12-month (1-year) comprehensive warranty from the date of purchase on all parts except front panel and plastic parts, and thereafter 48 months (4 years) additional warranty on the compressor subject to company policies.

The warranty provided is valid only if the Warranty Certificate Card bears the rubber stamp, date, and signature of Shopwice.

Shopwice warrants to the Original Purchaser that for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, the company will repair or replace free of charge any part or parts of the Air Conditioner (except plastic parts), which proves upon inspection by the Company or any of its Authorised Sales and Service Representatives to have been defective due to faulty material or poor workmanship.

Warranty involves repairing defective products/parts and does not entitle the purchaser to replacement of the complete product.

General Terms

  • This warranty shall be valid only for the said period of 12 months as specified, irrespective of whether the unit has been in use or not for any reason whatsoever, or whether the unit is moved from one location to another.
  • The warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment.
  • This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only.
  • Repair or replacement will be carried out through the Company's Authorised Service Providers only.
  • This warranty shall stand automatically terminated in the event of the unit being serviced, repaired, installed, de-installed, re-installed, or otherwise attended to by any person, organisation, or agency other than the authorised representative of the company or its authorised service providers.
  • The warranty for the machine will expire automatically upon completion of 12 months from the date of purchase on the invoice, irrespective of whether the AC has been in use or not — including any technical breakdowns, time taken for repairs, replacement, transit, power cuts, or the unit being moved from one location to another.
  • The AC is designed to operate at a range of 230V ±10%. Any failure due to operation beyond these limits will not be covered. The customer shall ensure that a voltage stabiliser is installed in areas where voltage is not available within this range. Voltage stabilising equipment is not covered under this warranty.
  • The purchaser should preserve the original invoice and Warranty Certificate Card and produce them at the time of service.
  • Onsite warranty is not available for any Portable Air Conditioner. Portable AC service and complaints will be attended to at Authorised Service Centres only.
  • None of the employees and/or Authorised Dealers of the Company have any authority to vary the terms and conditions of this warranty.

This Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Warranty does not cover parts/coils damaged due to polluted or corrosive atmosphere.
  • The warranty does not cover plastic parts of the Air Conditioner.
  • Damage to the product or any part due to transportation, shifting, or mishandling.
  • Any loss of refrigerant caused due to sabotage, improper handling or treatment, carelessness, accident, fire, flood, earthquake, any natural calamity, or any corrosive action on the original refrigerant pipes, fittings, valves, etc.
  • Products not registered with the company or not purchased from an Authorised Channel Partner, or where improper installation by unauthorised personnel has been carried out.
  • Any modifications or alterations made in the wiring or connections of the unit.
  • Any unit that, during the warranty period, has been tampered with, altered, repaired, or serviced by any unauthorised person not being the authorised representative of the company or its authorised dealers.
  • Defects caused by improper use as determined by company personnel.
  • Any component failure due to an abnormal power supply.
  • Any damage caused due to fire, flood, accident, corrosion, rodents, abuse, or misuse.
  • Defects arising due to a polluted or corrosive environment.
  • Units whose serial number has been damaged, defaced, altered, obliterated, tampered with, or removed for any reason.
  • Units moved from their original place of installation or re-installation.
  • Portable Air Conditioners: damage resulting from abusive or unreasonable use. Commercial application or usage of a Portable AC is not covered under this warranty.

Lifetime Free Service — Terms & Conditions

  • A lifetime warranty on the inverter compressor is applicable on the purchase of Cruise VarioQool Inverter AC only for individual/retail customers. The lifetime for a residential air conditioner is defined as 10 years based on E-Waste Management Rules 2016 guidelines.
  • Free service & extended warranty policy is applicable for Cruise Inverter Split air conditioners of 1.0 & 1.5 Ton capacity invoiced to end-customers, sold via authorised channel partners only.
  • Over and above the 1-year comprehensive warranty, the additional 9-year warranty is only on the Inverter compressor and does not include any other part, gas charging, or labour costs.
  • 2 free preventive maintenance service calls will be provided within the one-year standard warranty period, and 8 free periodic preventive maintenance services will be provided at 6-month intervals over an additional 4 years.
  • To claim this additional warranty and service offer, the customer must register the product and personal details with Shopwice within 7 days of purchase. Required details: customer full name, address, mobile number, e-mail ID; invoice number and date; model name and serial number of the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and compressor.
  • The air conditioner unit must be installed by an Authorised Service Partner only to avail of this offer.
  • To get free services, the customer must book all service calls with Cruise Customer Care at 829 123 8800 or register a service request at www.cruiseac.com. In any other case, the offer will be deemed invalid.
  • All periodic preventive maintenance services for the 5-year period must be done by an authorised service partner of Cruise.
  • The customer must produce the original invoice copy and extended warranty booklet at the time of periodic services during the 5-year offer period.
  • Any product breakdown repairs or replacement of parts (including all functional parts, plastic & sheet metal parts, gas charging & labour) will be done on a chargeable basis after the 1-year comprehensive standard warranty period.
  • For service calls under this offer beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction in which the Authorised Service Provider is situated, all expenses for dispatching the unit or parts, deputing service personnel, conveyance, and incidentals will be borne by the customer.
  • This offer will be null and void if the product is opened, repaired, or modified by any unauthorised service person/centre — such a unit shall be declared as tampered and no further warranty or free services shall be applicable.
  • This service offer will automatically expire once the free services are availed or the 5-year period is completed, whichever comes first.
  • In the event of any re-installation or change in the location of the unit during the offer period, this offer shall become null and void.
  • The company shall not be deemed to be in default for any delay in servicing due to government regulation, public movement, war, force majeure, or any unavoidable situation.
  • Offer is not applicable on cassette, floor standing, ducted, or Grande split air conditioners.
  • Any institutional sale is not covered in this offer.
  • The company reserves the right to withdraw this offer at its sole discretion at any point in time.
  • All other terms & conditions shall remain as per the original warranty card of the product except for those covered above. The worth of this offer is the perceived value for the customer, as per the average price of services.
