Juventus History
Juventus, commonly known as Juve, are the most successful Italian football club of all time having won in excess of 60 official titles on the national and world stage. Since the formation of Serie A, La Bianconeri have been ever presents with the exception of 2006-07 when they were demoted after being caught up in the Calciopoli match fixing scandal which rocked Italian football. They have 2 main rivals in Serie A; the Turin Derby is contested by Torino and Juve – the rivalry dates back to 1906 when Torino was formed by ‘break-away’ Juventus players and staff. The more intense rivalry known as the ‘Derby of Italy’ is between Juventus and Inter Milan and is a direct result of their superiority in the Italian game.
